Ability: Among the predetermined gift that all vampires of granted at their creation: speed, strength, endurance, and agility, he has his own special gift. Although, speed is a gift that all vampire acquire, he is quicker then the rest of those in his family. Edward can read the mind of anyone within a close enough radius (a mile or so).
Appearance: Edward is described to be like a Greek god, Adonis to be exact. The epitome of beauty. His skin and frame is finely sculpted marble, he is pale, cold and glitters in the sunlight like a diamond with a million facets. His facial features are like that of a model, angular and sharp; high cheekbones, square jaw line, pouty lips. His constantly disheveled hair is almost a staple, its dirty blonde like his biological mother's. His eyes in life were green but now in death (or this version of death) are gold but turn black when he feeds. He is six foot two inches and is muscular but not bulky.
Personality: Charming, suave, well mannered, focused, determined, hard headed, and virtually unwavering. Edward is the epitome of grace. His protective nature has made him a humanist, he is careful of those around him and those he loves. He is very analytical, dramatic and a big reactionary. His love for books and music have made him fairly artistic, his speech is somewhat outdated but most find it to be part of his charm.
History: Edward Anthony Masen was born on June 20, 1901; in 1918 he was transformed into a vampire by his adoptive father, Carlisle Cullen to avoid his death due to the Spanish influenza. After his first attempt at being a "vegetarian" like Carlisle tried to teach him, Edward runs off for ten years to feed like normal vampires. He eventually returned, realizing he was on the wrong path and wanted to do better.
Edward meets Isabella Swan on a gloomy day in the middle of the year, when he walks into the cafeteria and over hears a conversation about his family. He takes a seat across the large room and notices that her thoughts were shielded to him, while he could hear everyone else in the room. Edward fights a growing attraction to Bella, between the gift of being able to shield herself from his trick and her overwhelmingly sweet smell, but he eventually is unable to cover come said attraction. After various missions to keep her safe, he gives into his attraction and starts a relationship with Bella. After introducing each other to their respective families, Edward takes Bella out on a family outing; baseball. While out they run into a pack of nomad vampires, James, a hunter becomes fixated on Bella and sets his mind on having her. After a long ordeal she was saved by Edward, he warns her that she needs to move with her mother to stay away from him but she refuses and returns to Forks.
At her 18th birthday party Bella accidentally cuts her self and is attacked by Edward's adoptive brother, Jasper. To protect her, Edward convinces Bella that he doesn't love her anymore and moves away with his family. Edward finds the idea of living without Bella for eternity completely unbearable and when he decides to return to Forks his sister Rosalie misinforms him about Bella's supposed suicide. Destroyed by the news Edward flies to Italy to ask the Volturi to do away with him. Bella and his sister Alice show up in time to save him, the Volturi agree to release the three of them only after promising that the mortal, Bella, would be turned into a vampire with in the next few years. They all return to Forks and continue with their relationship, although, Jacob Black, a shape shifter and enemy of the Cullen's, was in love with Bella. Against Edward's wishes Bella seeks the support of his family in the matter of her eventual transformation; Edward finally agrees with one condition, that she marries him before she becomes a vampire.
When everything seems like its starting to go well and all their plans seem to be going into motion, Victoria, the mate of the hunter that had tried to kill Bella, James, returns with a coven of young vampires. A truce is formed between the Cullen's and the Werewolves to defend Forks and Bella; Bella who realizes that Jacob means more to her then she figured. After much turmoil and bouts Victoria and her coven are killed off and Bella accepts the truth; Edward was her life and her true love. Edward having agreed to make love with Bella while she was still human was initially turned down, as she wanted to wait to be married to make love.
Edward and Bella finally marry and take a long vacation to an island off the coast of Brazil for their honeymoon. Their Bella conceives a child and because it is only half-human, it rapidly grows and Bella's health is put in danger. Edward tries to coax her into having an abortion but Bella refuses, they return to Forks and wait for the baby to be born. With Edward's ability to hear other's thoughts, he eventually falls in love with the child after he hears how much it loves Bella in return. Edward nearly losses his beloved to the birth of their child, through the emergency c-section Edward delivers their daughter and he then injects Bella's heart with his venom. The venom heals her wounds and turns her into a vampire. While out one day another vampire spots their daughter, Renesmee, and confuses her for an immortal child, forbidden in the vampire world by the Volturi. The Volturi arrive to destroy the Cullen's but not before they were able to gather a group of other vampires to witness that the child is not an immortal but rather a half-breed. The Volturi are convinced and back away, leaving them to live their lives in peace.
Since, Jacob had imprinted on their daughter, he is now like a son to Edward and no longer an enemy or competition. Their lives are spent in bliss, among others of their kind, traveling, and enjoying each other's company since they left Renesmee with Jacob and it's just Edward and Bella. They are now back in Forks, meeting up with all of the family.
